ArmInfo. On January-April 2017 the volume of industrial production of Armenia versus the same period of 2016 grew for 12,9% (versus 10% growth a year ago), forming AMD 485,5 bln. (USD 999,7 mln). And only for April the sector demonstrated a dropdown for 7% - down to AMD 123,6 bln ( USD 211,8 mln). According to Armenian Statistics Service Data, the annual growth of industrial sector is preconditioned with processing industry growth within ongoing growth of mining sector.
During the reported period of 2017, in niming industry the annual growth is fixed at 13,5% ( against 21,5% growth a year ago) - down to AMD 102, 4 bln. And only in April the mining sector showed a dropdown for 13,1% - down to AMD 25,8 bln. The volume of processing industry in January-April 2017 increased in annual view for 17, 2 % (versus 3,8% growth against a year ago) - down to AMD 280,4 bln, within the montly dropdown for 1,9% - down to AMD 78, 2 bln. At that, in processing sector for the period mentioned the dropdown was observed only in respect to machinery and equipment production - for 26,3%, and metal products processing - for 1,5%, chemical products - for 0,2 %. At that , an essential growth was observed in the sector of electric equipment production - in 2,1 times, jewelry -for 73,4 % computers, electronics and optical equipment - for 50,4%, textile products - for 29,9%, furniture - for 29,6%, drinks processing - for 27,6%, and main metallic products - for 27,3%. In processing sector the leaders of production volumes are the foodstuff ( AMD 87,3 bln), main metals ( AMD 54,4 bln), tobaccos (AMD 43,5 bln) and drinks (AMD 37,3 bln).
According to statistics data, electric power, gas, vapor and conditioned air supplies in January-April 2017 in general grew for 2,4% versus those of the same period of 2016 ( in comparison to 17,3 % growth a year ago) - up to AMD 94,7 bln within the monthly dropdown for 15,7% - down to AMD 17, 8 bln. At thet, production, transmission and distribution of electric energy for the period mentioned decreased for 3,9% in annual view, while the gas production and distribution increased for 24,8%. The incomes of water supply, water chlorination and waste management for the period mentioned increased for 3,9% annual ( versus 9,4% growth a year ago) - up to AMD 7,6 bln. In nmonthly vie this segment showed drop down `for 20,6% - to AMD 1,6 bln. At that, the increasing dynamics in this sector was preconditioned by waste collection and management (growth for 13,7%). The average forex rate of AMDin April 2017 formed AMD 485,14/USD 1, in January - April AMD 485,62/USD 1, against AMD 481,27/USD 1 in April 2016 and AMD 486,82/USD1 in January-April 2016.
