According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the production of copper concentrate increased in H1 2021 by 7.5% per annum (against 16.6% growth a year earlier), with a volume of 202.4 thousand tons provided. On a monthly term, the volume of copper concentrate production increased by 4.8% to 37.8 thousand tons.
In H1 2021, castings from unalloyed (carbon) steel were produced in the amount of 44.872 thousand tons, with a 5.7-fold y-o-y growth (against 23.3% growth a year earlier). At the same time, in June, production volumes decreased by 64.3%, amounting to 11.055 thousand tons.
Production of steel pipes in H1 2021 increased by 16.2% per annum - up to 7.425 thousand tons (against an increase of 36.1% a year earlier), and in June alone there was a decline of 19.2% - to 1.148 thousand tons.
In H1 2021 a decrease was recorded in the production of ferromolybdenum - by 9.8% per annum (against an increase of 11.2% a year earlier), amounting to 3.736 thousand tons. And in June alone, ferromolybdenum production increased by 14.8% - up to 740 tons.
Molybdenum concentrate production also decreased in H1 2021 - by 3.8% per annum (against an increase of 1.8-fold a year earlier), amounting to 11.934 thousand tons. In June alone, the production of molybdenum concentrate decreased by 7.6% - to 2.221 thousand tons.
In H1 2021, The production of zinc concentrate also decreased by 16.3% per annum (against 28.2% growth a year earlier), amounting to 5.807 thousand tons. And in June, the production of zinc concentrate increased by 11.2% - up to 1,086 thousand tons.
The volume of production of aluminum foil in H1 2021 amounted to 16.937 thousand tons, decreasing by 2.9% per annum (against 13.7% growth a year earlier). At the same time, in June, the volume of production of aluminum foil increased by 0.6% - up to 2,850 thousand tons.
All metals produced in Armenia are exported, mainly to Europe and the USA.
