ArmInfo. In H1 2021, Armenia exported 17.1 thousand tons of aluminum foil, which is 0.7% less than a year ago (against 3% growth a year earlier). However, in monetary terms, the export of foil showed an increase of 19.7% per annum - up to $ 54.8 million.
According to the data of the RA Customs Service, mainly the foil was exported to Germany (33.9%), the USA (20.7%) and Poland (13.5%), as well as to the Netherlands (9.1%), France (6 , 8%), Italy (5.2%), Spain (3.9%), the United Kingdom (2.3%), the rest fell on Austria, Israel, Canada, Czech Republic, Hungary and the Russian Federation.
According to the source, during the reporting period, Armenia reduced the volume of imported foil by 19.3% (against the decline by 35.2% a year earlier) - to 683.6 tons. The customs value of imported foil decreased by 7.5% to $ 2.7 million.
Foil was imported mainly from Greece (79.5%), as well as Russia (6.2%), China (4.4%), Italy (1.8%), Ukraine (0.7%), Czech Republic (0,6%), and much less from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Iran, Poland, Lebanon and the United States.
According to the Statistical Committee, in Armenia, the production of aluminum foil in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 decreased by 2.9% (against 13.7% growth a year earlier), amounting to 16.937 thousand tons.
