ArmInfo.The electric energy output totaled 885.2mln kwh in Armenia this January, a 19.2% growth as compared with last January (against 2.2% growth the previous year).
During the period under review, thermal power plants generated a total of 434.7 kwh of electric energy (a 32.8% year-on-year growth), hydropower plants, 118mln kwh (a 7.4% growth), the Armenian NPP, 322.8mln kwh (6.9% growth). Wind power stations generated a total of 0.5mln kwh - a 2.5-fold year-on- year growth. Solar power stations generated a total of 9.2mln kwh - 2.9-fold year-on-year growth.
Last year, energy output totaled 7,674.9mln kwh - a 0.6% year-on-year decline (against a 1.2% growth in 2020). Thermal power plants generated a total of 3,383.7mln kwh (a 6.9% growth), hydropower plants generated a total of 2,201.7mln kwh (a 23.8% growth). The Armenian NPP generated a total of 1,998.4mln kwh of energy (a 27.5% decline). Thermal energy output totaled 11.3 thousand gigajoules (a 69.9% decline). Wind power stations generated a total of 1.5mln kwh (a 21.1% decline). Solar power stations generated a total of 89.6mln kwh (a 4.2-fold growth).
