ArmInfo.  The Food Safety Inspectorate  did not reveal any violations at the Jermuk Group  enterprise as a result of the inspection. This is stated in the official statement of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia.

According to the source, in order to facilitate the disclosure of the  circumstances of the incident that occurred in Russia, the Food  Safety Inspection Body of Armenia conducted an inspection at the  Jermuk Group company, which produces Jermuk mineral water. As a  result, it was revealed that no substances and materials prohibited  for the use in food production are stored in the production premises,  including detergents and disinfectants, with the exception of  detergents and disinfectants necessary for routine washing and  disinfection of production premises and equipment. In addition, the  incoming raw materials met safety requirements and had documents  confirming safety. And food raw materials and ingredients used in the  production of food products were stored under conditions that prevent  deterioration of these raw materials and ingredients and ensure their  protection from contaminants.

"It was established that hazardous and falsified food products and  hazardous substances in direct contact with food are not produced,"  the statement says.

The supervisory authority reported that all grounds were presented  confirming that when carrying out processes for the production of  Jermuk mineral water, the manufacturer developed, implemented and  followed procedures (HACCP - Hazard Analysis and Critical Control  Points), based on the principles of the hazard analysis and critical  point control system.

"The company "Jermuk Group" operates in accordance with established  standards," the message notes.  On February 12, a resident of  Vladikavkaz received a burn to the esophagus after taking a sip from  a bottle of Jermuk - instead of water, it contained vinegar. He later  died in hospital.

On February 13, Rospotrebnadzor suspended the sale of some batches of  Jermuk mineral water produced in Armenia. We are talking about  batches of mineral water in glass containers of 0.5 liters, which  were produced on December 28, 2023. Rospotrebnadzor noted that thanks  to the product labeling system, "it determined the location of the  products in the shortest possible time." Notifications were sent to  companies whose balance sheets include mineral water.

The Armenian inspection body called the decision not only groundless,  but also puzzling. "Jermuk mineral water cannot contain vinegar, this  is technically impossible," the department said
