A cheese-making schools will be established in Armenia's Tavush with the assistance of France, Bruno Bethenod, mayor of Arceau and President of the Association of rural mayors of Cote-d'Or, who is a member of the Finance Commission of the Association of Rural Mayors of France (AMRF), said at his meeting with Armenia's Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration Vache Terteryan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia, during the meeting Mr Bethenod presented the experience of the Association in France, particularly the effective cooperation of French communities with each other. He also noted the importance of connecting communities with educational institutions, as well as the work being done in the areas of road construction and renewable energy, which are considered priorities in France.
Welcoming the initiatives of the French side, the deputy minister emphasized the importance of exchanging experience between the communities of the two countries and noted the need for its continuity.
Following the meeting, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia and the Association of Heads of Rural Communities of France signed a protocol of intent, according to which it is planned to develop long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of agriculture, education, tourism, public infrastructure, as well as on humanitarian issues.
