Mining industry of  Armenia needs legislative reforms.  The Prime Minister of the  Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this on March 28 at the  plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia  when answering the question of MP from Prosperous Armenia faction  Artur Grigoryan.

Polymetal International plc has entered into a legally binding agreement with  Chaarat Gold Holdings Limited (AIM:CGH) (together with its  subsidiaries - "Chaarat") for the sale of the Kapan mine in the  Republic of Armenia ("Kapan") for a total consideration of US$ 55  million (the "Transaction"), the press service of the company  informs.

ArmInfo.The Kapan Mining and Processing Enterprise, a member of the Polymetal International plc group of companies, processed 312 thsd tons of ore in the first half  of 2018, versus 246 thsd tons in the same period last year. In Q2  alone the volume of production amounted to 158 thousand tons of ore,  versus 132 thousand tons in the previous year.

According to TASS, this is stated in the materials for the meeting in Moscow between Russian and Armenian Prime Ministers Dmitry Medvedev and Nikol Pashinyan.

ArmInfo. The Kapan Mining and Processing Enterprise, a member of the Polymetal International plc group of companies, processed 154,000 tonnes of ore in the first 3 months of 2018, a 34% increase compared to the same period last year. The volume of production for the quarter amounted to 157 thousand tons of ore, which is 36% higher than in the previous year. This is stated in the company's report on production results for the first quarter of 2018.

ArmInfo.  The volume of  investments of the Russian mining company Polymetal in Armenia in  2017 amounted to $ 24 million, according to the company's official  report for the past year, the investments mainly related to the  purchase of equipment for underground mining and exploration near the  current field in Syunik region, including drilling at the  Lichkvaz-Teyskoye field.
