ArmInfo. The Armenian Parliament held a discussion on the topical issue of banking tariffs. This problem becomes quite acute due to the transition to a significant growth of non-cash transactions in the country, associated with the adoption of  a law regulating non-cash circulation a year ago and actually  obliging economic entities to accept non-cash payments for goods and  services. 

ArmInfo.The World Bank has improved its 2023 GDP growth forecast for Armenia from the previous 4.4% to an updated 7.1% (against the actual 12.6% growth in 2022), now expecting a slowdown to 4.7% in 2024 and to 4.5% in 2025 (versus previously forecasted y-o-y acceleration to 4.8% and 5%). This is noted in the January Global Economic Prospects report published by the World Bank.

ArmInfo.The elaboration of the strategy of Armenia's demographic development is nearing completion, Armenia's Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan told a press conference.

On the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, changes were made to the management staff, including the board of  directors of ANIF. ArmInfo. Only dollar and euro  transactions were carried out at the foreign currency interbank of  Armenia in the first short week of January 2024 (January 3-5), hile  there were no euro transactions in the same period a year ago,  instead there were ruble transactions  along with dollar ones, but  both then and now they were recorded in small volumes with downward  trend in dollar transactions. 

ArmInfo. The authorized  capital of National Airlines of Armenia CJSC (Fly Arna) has been  increased by 2,011,050,000 drams. This was reported by the press  service of the Ministry of Economy.  According to the source, the  decision was made on December 25 last year at the general meeting of  shareholders of the company.
